LZBC, we have a new webpage! Look around and let us know what you think. Our services will be streamed live and archived on the webpage. God is good!
It has been a difficult time in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid and the restrictions it has placed on us regarding meeting together. But, through it all God has remained the same. No matter what the world throws at us, God has got us. Our church family has experienced loss as well as new life.
As we begin to prepare for 2022, this scripture comes to mind – Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.’ Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Matthew 9:35-38.
It is time for us to get back to God’s work. Yes, many of us are working from home on our jobs, and yes, we can even do church from home. But God would like to see you at His House. So, shake off the covid-19 lbs that you gained and come on back to worship and fellowship together. I know I gained my share. During the time away Sis. Gobert could not sit still. She baked any and everything, and I ate any and everything she baked! Thank goodness tax season started so she could stop baking for a while.
We would love to see you on ZOOM on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. We haven’t seen each other in so long, I am eager to see your beautiful and handsome faces!
LZBC, I love you. I look forward to our coming back together and can’t wait to see what God has for us.
Pastor M. Gobert
