LZBC!
We are back on track and should be posting blogs again. Let me share with you what we have been up to since last we spoke.
Things at the church are moving along. We have a new member, Sis. Jackson. She is a delight to have in service and joins with us online for or weekly Wednesday night meeting.
My wife and I have been blessed to celebrate 30 years of marriage, May 30. Can I get an AMEN! Some marriages these days don’t last a year, but as the song says “If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be?” Because we know that what God has put together, NO man can tear asunder.
The church is planning some exciting renovations. It is important to maintain our “home” and be good stewards of the house that God has blessed us with.
Our youth department is back!! They had their first schedule meeting on May 21. They will be meeting 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
We would love to see your smiling face again on Sunday (10:30 a.m.) or Wednesday night (6:30 p.m.) for our regular service and study.
Congratulations to all the graduates!! In the fall I will have two grandkids in middle school. How did that happen!? Time flies when you are having fun. 🙂
LZBC we encourage you to pray for each other. As we move away from the devastation of Covid-19 in 2020 and we are finally seeing the light, tragedy strikes Uvalde, TX. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims. Hug your children, tell them you love them, thank God for them, and celebrate the time that you have with each other. When I was young in Christ I never understood when they said tomorrow isn’t promised to us. But has I have grown in the Lord, I have come to realize that the poem I learned makes sense. “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift from God. That is why it is called the PRESENT.”
Be blessed LZBC.
