Greetings LZBC!
Can you believe it is November! As you know, we had plans to start our new service time at 10:30 a.m. as of November 7. But, we are going to have to push that back to November 14. Service for November 7th is cancelled. Two members of LZBC have tested positive for for covid, one of them is my wife. Both individuals are doing well but it put my household on a 10 day quarantine. Because my mother-in-law is the Wednesday night teacher we are going to cancel the November 10 Wednesday night zoom meeting as well.
Sis. Gobert and I as both vaxxed and I tested negative, but following the CDC recommendations she has to isolate in our home and I have to quarantine. Was there ever a time in your life when we would uses these words so easily. The last few days I have spent a lot of time googling isolation, quarantine, CDC recommendations, boosters, infusion therapy and the list goes on. It seems we spend more time talking about covid and all that goes with it, than we do anything else. The firs thing I did when they came in to tell us our results was pray. It was scary when they said my wife was positive. I didn’t care about my results, I just wanted her well. The doctors will tell you that there is nothing they can do, no medicine to give, no recommendations other than if you can’t breath call 911. What is NOT comforting to hear. So I knew to call of the Great Comforter and put it in His hands. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
As my grandson said to my wife, I hope you feel better soon so you can cook thanksgiving dinner! Kids get right to the point. He had already prayed for his grandma so he knew that God would handle it, now let’s get to the real situation, we need macaroni and cheese for thanksgiving! The bible says let the little children come for such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:14) Turn your cares over to the Lord. Stop worrying about what you can’t control and let God do His thing.
Keep us in your prayers. We will have service on November 14 at 10:30 a.m. God loves you and so do we!
